How to Find Email Address from LinkedIn [Updated in 2019]

If you are looking to find emails and phone numbers from LinkedIn, you can use our free email and phone number finder chrome plugin.

LinkedIn with its 250 Million active users is one of the biggest sources of business data on the web. Every business is flocking to LinkedIn these days to market their product and build a massive network. Moreover, it is poised to be one of the best b2b prospect and lead generation tools used by thousands of salespeople especially LinkedIn sales navigator. Almost every big-shot CEO to even entry-level developers and employees are on LinkedIn. This makes it an amazing platform to find relevant prospects.

So, how are people using LinkedIn?

For example, LinkedIn is heavily used by HR recruiters as it shows current company, personal skill set, current location etc which makes it a much better platform than, say, monster jobs where recruiters have to go through tons of resumes with a lot of noise in terms of data.

Similarly, LinkedIn is heavily used by salespeople to find their prospects.

Now whether you are an HR recruitment firm, salesperson, startup, VC firm or any organization looking to connect with people, LinkedIn does offer connections as well as an InMail option.

However, the trouble with these is that they are often limited and not personal. There’s just too much clutter. People are sending messages left, right and center. It has diluted the attention seeking value.

I, myself have 1900+ contacts on LinkedIn and I do get a lot of messages and contact request but it is difficult to track or reply to all of them.

One way to escape this clutter and noise is by connecting directly with your prospect.

Here are a few ways you can find the email addresses of people from LinkedIn:

How to Find Emails Manually from LinkedIn

1. Browse Through Their Profile

If the person is in your network, it is very easy to look at his email address and contact details.

Just browse through their profile, and you will see a “contact info” option like this:

Click on it and it will show all the details the person has filled:

More often than not, you will find these details filled as people often share such details. Remember, that the main motto behind LinkedIn is to connect with professionals across the different arena, thus most users have no qualms about sharing their contact information. It may not be having business emails but free emails.

Now, since I was connected with the person, unearthing the contact information turned out to be easy for me. But what if you are not connected with your prospect on LinkedIn?

Even if you are not connected to the prospect, you will still see the “contact info” tab. However, it won’t have as many details. It often shows social media accounts like Twitter and blogs. Prospect’s Twitter account or blog URL may also lead you to their email address somehow.

However, you can try sending a connection request to your prospects and then check out their full contact information.

Here are the other ways to extract your prospect’s email address from their LinkedIn profile:

  • Few users also use their email id in their profile bio-data. You can use chrome plugins like email extractor to find such emails.
  • There is also an option at the bottom of many profiles under Additional Info which has “advice for contacting …”. If this section is visible, this always has the contact details of the person including email or phone number.

But this method is vague, not to say impossible to carry out when one is looking to attain bulk emails. Moreover, it has an abysmal success rate. Come to think of it, what are the chances that someone would add their contact information in their LinkedIn account? Pretty low!

So, if this doesn’t work out, let’s move on to the next manual method.

2. LinkedIn + Google

So, by now we know that even if are not connected with our prospects on LinkedIn, we can, at least, gather basic information about them. For example, even if you are unable to find detailed contact information, you can always gather data about their full name and company’s name.

Then after I get to know about their company name, I will visit their official website to get information about their domain name.

Say, for example, my prospect’s name is “Sheejo George” and his company’s domain name is “”.

Now all I have to do is to start by guessing the pattern on Google using the information I just extracted from LinkedIn.

First, I will type in their basic information. like this:

  • firstname.lastname [at][domain]
  • firstname [at][domain]
  • firstinitiallastname [at][domain]
  • firstname_lastname [at][domain]
  • Etc. through all the variations

After using the above Google search queries, I found this email address on the first page.

So, the email address of my prospect is most likely to be the one that I found on the first page. You can also verify this email using various email verifying software tools.

For example, I am using free email verifier by AeroLeads to verify the email address I just extracted.

The email address turned out to be valid.

Just like the above method, this method also shows vague and uncertain results.

Therefore, if you are serious about prospecting from linkedIn, you can, of course, use automated email marketing tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator. You can use tools like AeroLeads too which works well with normal LinkedIn or Professional accounts for sales prospecting.
