More often than not marketers face this dilemma when they know whom to contact but worry over finding their email address.
And this is where the problems arise. After all, who wants to skim down countless pages on Google. And it’s not even the hard part. The peskiest task is to verify them.
The whole perennial cycle goes something like this:
- Collecting about 400 emails in a week after spending hours and hours of research.
- Verifying these emails for another week
- What? Only half of them are legit?
- Now start sending cold emails to the rest 200 legit emails
- But wait even these 200 emails might not get through if they are all blocked by spam filters.
So, basically after so much toil, you came up empty handed? I know it must rattle to go to all this trouble for a minuscule email address? Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.
But of course, there are better and more reliable ways to find emails online. The chances of success with these methods are way higher than the normal “digging up on Google” method.
And every since websites like AngelList came into the market, digging up information like email addresses have never been so easy.
What Is AngelList?
You’d have to be living under a rock if you haven’t heard of AngelList. But what exactly is AngelList?
As its Wikipedia page will tell you, AngelList is a U.S. website catering to startups, investors and job seekers looking to work at startups. Since 2015, the site allows startups to raise money from angel investors free of charge.
But today, we are going to tell you an awesome hack so that you can very conveniently use AngelList to find email addresses.
Have You Ever Thought Of Finding Email Addresses From AngelList?
Finding emails with AngelList is as simple as it can get. All you have to do is to follow some steps and you’ll have your email address in no time.
Find Email Addresses Manually Via AngelList
If you don’t shy away from a bit of digging up then manually extracting emails using AngelList is one of the best options for you to find B2B email addresses.
We’ll discuss a step-by-step process to find email addresses through AngelList:
1. AngelList + Google
Here, we’ll discuss the steps that will include navigating through both AngelList as well as Google.
Step #1 Which company your prospect works for?
Say, for example, my prospect’s name is “Pushkar Gaikwad”. Now, I’ll go to my prospect’s AngelList profile.
Upon looking at my prospect’s AngelList profile, now I know the name of his company – AeroLeads.
Step#2 Finding the domain name
Although, our prospect has mentioned the domain name of his company in his AngelList profile only, however, if that is not the case then you can always find it with Google.
Our prospect has a company with the domain name “aeroleads.com”
Step#3 Find the pattern on Google
Now, we’ll search using a pattern “@aeroleads.com“. Look closely to match this pattern in the meta description. Since this is a generic email pattern, you’ll probably have to skim down two to five pages to see a matching pattern.
This is what I came up with:
Seeing the results, I’m assuming that their email pattern is probably something like email@example.com. So, it’s likely that Pushkar’s email address will be firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step#4 Verify the extracted email address
We have come to a conclusion – it’s highly likely that the email address is email@example.com, but here we want to be perfectly sure.
You can verify using various tools. I verified using AeroLeads‘ free email verifier.
And ta-da the email came out to be valid.
2. AngelList + LinkedIn
You can conflate LinkedIn search with AngelList only when your prospect has added their LinkedIn profile with their AngelList profile.
See this LinkedIn logo here,
After clicking on this logo you will be redirected to the Prospect’s LinkedIn page. There you can gather information about the prospect or their company name. And once again, repeat the steps.
- Find the domain name
- Find the pattern on Google
- And verify the email address
However, if you are lucky enough, you’ll likely find the prospect’s email address on LinkedIn itself.
Similarly, your prospect’s AngelList profile can redirect you to their Facebook, Twitter and other social media profiles.
These manual processes, while very reliable and hands-on, are not everyone’s cup of tea.
For people who are not so keen on manual processes, here are some wonderful options to make the whole process of finding email addresses automated.
Extract Email Address From AngelList Using Automated Tools
There are so many tools available on the web that will help you find single email addresses as well as emails in bulk via AngelList.
Alore Finder is one proficient tool that extracts your prospect’s profile from AngelList and other major social networks.
Use these simple steps to extract email address of your prospects using Alore via AngelList:
- All you have to do is to go to your prospect’s AngelList Profile and then click on the Alore Email Finder Extension Tool added to your chrome menu bar (given that you have already installed it).
- Your task is done here. The tool will now search for the domain name associated with your prospect.
- Once the domain name (company) is fetched, click “Save”
- Now, the tool will finally fetch the Email address and after undergoing verification, the profile data will be added to your Alore prospect list.
The best part is that the extension provides the sources from where they got the email. However, if the domain associated with the prospect is not found, it is not possible to get results from Alore Email Finder.
AeroLeads is another stellar software that uses cloud-based technology to find professional email addresses of the prospects from AngelList and other social networking sites.
In addition to emails, AeroLeads caters to your need of finding phone numbers, title, company, location, website and more. Moreover, it is easy to use and allows you to transfer the data to your CRM software or you can export it as a .csv file.
True to its name, with a rocket-like reach (not even exaggerating), RocketReach can extract email addresses from various sites, AngelList being one of them.
Use these simple steps to scrap emails using RocketReach:
Visit your prospect’s website ——> Click on the RocketReach plugin ——> You’ll get a drop-down list of the company’s employees ——> Simply add the email addresses that you need.
For a simple, hassle-free experience, these tools are your best shot. However, if you are inclined towards a more involved and hands-on experience, then manual processes are the best option for you.
Use these methods to extract email addresses from AngelList and start prospecting immediately. You don’t need weeks, not even days – just a few dedicated hours are enough to get your desired email addresses using these methods.
