Organizing committee co-lead for the Kauffman Foundations entrepreneur ecosystem, grass-roots platform called 1 Million Cups, which refers to the amt of coffee mtgs it takes to get traction as a new business owner! We support new entrepreneurs by offering a no-pitch, no-sale opportunity to share WHO they are, WHY they created their business and HOW they help people. We then support them by asking the question: What can our community do for you!? Each presenter has about 6 minutes to present their business, then 20-30 mins of feedback and Q&A from our audience. Pathway X helped service the culmination of this workforce development groups 16 week efforts to inspire high school students to consider entering the construction industy by way of Architecture Design, Engineering or Construction labor. We planned and implemented the end of year event, award creation and event invitations in print and with Evite.

The Scarab Club has been a Detroit Artist venue for 90 years and is located immediately behind the Detroit Institute of Arts. The building and the cycle of juried art shows are a gem in Midtown Detroit. If you haven't been, its free to the public and has a small, beautiful garden in back with vintage bricked walls. I was brought on board to help fulfill an influx of current booked events, including weddings, corporate meetings and smaller private functions. WIth my marketing, sales and events experience I was able to help fulfill the 20+ Spring and early Summer wedding expectations as well as book $30,000 worth of additional events that will be held through fall. Working with the small, non-profit team who all wear many hats was a pleasure and I hope to be of service to the Club again in the future.
