West Virginia State University

Located in the small, unincorporated community of Institute, West Virginia State offers a unique flavor. A lively state university with a range of offerings, West Virginia State is situated in an old-town, historic atmosphere. Students can pursue undergraduate degrees at WV State in a variety of fields, including Art, Biology, Criminal Justice, Music, Math, Political Science, Social Work and ROTC. West Virginia State also offers the unique Regents Bachelor of Arts program. The RBA is a non-traditional program that allows working adults to pursue their degree at times which are convenient to them. West Virginia State also offers graduate degrees in Biotechnology, Media Studies and Law Enforcement. Departments at the graduate and undergraduate levels offer online courses in addition to traditional classroom courses. Student services at WV State are also wide-ranging.
