Located in Clarksville, Arkansas, on a tree-lined campus right alongside the Ozark Mountains, University of the Ozarks offers an idyllic, naturally beautiful setting. Majors at Ozarks encompass professional and academic subjects like: * Accounting * Education * History * Radio/TV Broadcasting * Religion * Theatre Ozarks students get the support of the community all through their undergraduate education. As the first school to establish services for disabled students at the college-level, University of the Ozarks has one of the most comprehensive support systems for those students who face different types of disabilities. For the general population, University of the Ozarks has additional services which include: * Personal counseling * Career counseling * Career assessment * Writing and math tutoring * Study skills coaching * Counseling for graduate school Students also receive the social support of the student community by participating in one of the more than 50 student clubs and organizations or engaging in campus recreational or social activities. Undergraduate admissions requirements for first-time freshmen include a high school diploma or GED, a minimum grade point average of 2.0, an ACT score of at least 18 and a combined SAT of at least 850. Financial aid comes in various forms and, in general, the bigger the financial need the more aid is awarded through grants, work-study and loans. In addition to need-based aid, Ozarks, the state of Arkansas, and private organizations award academic scholarships.
