UDLA is a private, non-profit corporation, founded in 1988 and obtained its autonomy in 1997. It became part of the Laureate network in 2000. With more than 25 years of life, the institution has 8 campuses distributed in its Headquarters of: Viña del Mar, Santiago and Concepción. Its community is made up of 26 thousand students, 34 thousand graduates, more than 3 thousand teachers and 500 people in its administrative plant. UDLA is an inclusive, secular and pluralistic university that aims to open opportunities for access to higher education to those who, driven by their vocation, want to become professionals. To fulfill this goal, it has a solid scholarship policy, with which it supports more than 50% of its students. It is an institution that is concerned with giving all its students the necessary tools so that they can perform or undertake adequately in a dynamic, globalized and increasingly demanding work world. Its Educational Model is based on the quality of the teaching staff, the use of new technologies and early practices, where students manage to connect their learning with the needs and realities of the country. The institution has a traditional day and evening study program. It also has the Executive modality, in the afternoon, with which it has been a pioneer in responding to the particular needs of a segment of the population that wants to access higher education, but that because it is already inserted in the labor world it does not have flexibility Of schedule.
