The Bolivarian University subscribes to a wide range of principles, which can be ordered according to levels of institutional action. At the level of the ideology it subscribes to the three universal humanist principles: Justice, Equality and Fraternity. On the epistemological level, it subscribes to the principles of holism, complexity and reflexivity. At the organizational level it subscribes to the principles of: autonomy, self-referentiality, self-correction and self-sustainability. At the structural level it subscribes to the principles of: differentiation and integration.
