Turtle Mountain Community College

Founded as a tribal college more than 35 years ago, Turtle Mountain Community College remains controlled by the Turtle Mountain Chippewa tribe. However, its vision has changed slightly since its establishment; the college seeks to educate many people from as many backgrounds as possible, rather than just American Indians. With this changing vision have come changing academics. Turtle Mountain Community College offers a wide range of educational resources, including liberal arts programs, professional degrees and certificates, and personal enrichment courses. At Turtle Mountain Community College, you can begin the rigorous coursework necessary to become a nurse, or simply take a course in gardening. Financial aid at Turtle Mountain Community College is primarily based on need. Federal grants and loans combine with institutional assistance can help to reduce the cost of tuition.
