Along with traditional liberal arts academics, Thiel College, a private Lutheran school, offers the full range of professional bachelor’s degrees in conjunction with on and off-campus career development activities. Majors at Thiel will prepare you to become an actuarial professional, a binary engineer, a business administrator, a commercial artist, a forensic accountant or a youth minister. You can also pursue a pre-professional degree option such as Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Occupational Therapy and Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Internships and other off-campus professional service opportunities are also in great supply, giving students experience and contacts in their industry. Online career seminars, career testing, job fairs, interview and resume guidance and job-search assistance are some of the other professional services available to Thiel students. Academics at Thiel include liberal arts and natural and social science offerings. Some great alternative options are Thiel’s interdisciplinary minor and its Cooperative Education program, which allows students to pursue a degree at another school while remaining at Thiel. Another way that students can cultivate professional skills while pursuing outside interests and socializing with other students is by joining one of Thiel’s student organizations. Included among these are multiple community service groups, academic clubs, arts clubs and the student television station. Since Thiel is a Christian school, the admissions department does consider prospective applicants’ church participation along with extracurricular activities and academic performance. Thiel participates in standard federal financial aid programs, which award grants, loans and other forms of financial aid.
