A successful academic human clinical experience with a urinary Neo-Bladder Augment was reported in The Lancet in April 2006 by investigators from the Children's Hospital Boston. Tengion has an effective investigational new drug application (IND) for its Neo-Urinary Conduit and expects to begin a Phase 1 clinical trial in the first half of 2010 in bladder cancer patients requiring bladder removal.
