Saint Johns River State College offers traditional community college programs as well as programs usually only offered at a four-year school. Located in Orange Park, Florida, Saint Johns offers associate's degrees in everything from health care fields to business to law enforcement. However, Saint Johns now also offers four-year bachelor's degrees as well. Most notable among their bachelor's programs is the one in teacher education. Designed for individuals who already have a bachelor's degree, this program trains students to become certified Florida state teachers without the money and time it would take at a four-year school. Saint Johns also offers a bachelor's in Organizational Management, which leads to careers in Health Administration and other fields. The Florida School of the Arts is another St. John's offering which is more typical of a four-year college. Through this program, students may undertake professional, full-time training in the performing or visual arts. For those who do not wish to obtain their bachelor's degree at St. John's, they may transfer to University of North Florida and other state schools with which St. John's has transfer agreements. Regardless of which program you're pursuing, St. John's career services department will help you to search for jobs through online job fairs. Career services also offer online career-interest assessments and workshops in interviewing and resume writing among other things. Federal Academic Competitiveness Grants, Pell Grants, work-study and loans are some of the financial aid sources available to those who qualify.
