St. Catharine College in Saint Catharine, Kentucky, is a four-year Catholic school offering academic programs that combine professional training with a solid base in the liberal arts. Many of St. Catharine’s programs of study have earned a reputation statewide and have resulted in good job placement rates among graduates. St. Catharine awards bachelor’s degrees in such professional fields of study as: * Criminal Justice * Marketing * Pharmacy Technology * Radiography * Surgical Technology Though employment is not guaranteed, students who graduate from St. Catharine’s healthcare programs boast a high job placement rate. Its teacher-training program is also one of the most respected in the state. Students in all majors also take a certain number of courses in the liberal arts. They may even major in a select number of liberal arts subject areas. Student life options include spiritually oriented activities like campus ministry, as well as recreational, special interest, and cultural clubs and organizations. Admissions requirements include submission of an application, transcripts and ACT or SAT scores. Those who have not taken the ACT or SAT may take the Compass entrance exam in its place. St. Catharine’s does its best to assist students with tuition through its various financial aid options, which include grants, loans, work-study and scholarships. The main eligibility requirement for grants, loans and work-study awards is financial need.
