Resource America is an asset management company that evaluates, originates, services, and manages investment opportunities through its real estate, commercial finance, and financial fund management subsidiaries. In the company’s commercial finance operations, it focuses on originating small- and middle-ticket equipment leases and commercial loans secured by business-essential equipment including technology, commercial, and industrial equipment; and medical equipment. In its financial fund management operations, it concentrates on trust-preferred securities of banks, bank holding companies, insurance companies, and other financial companies; bank loans; and asset-backed securities (ABS).
