Radiometrics Corporation is the world leader in the development and use of ground-based radar wind profilers, thermodynamic profiling radiometers, and sodars. Radiometrics is also a world leader in “downward looking” radiometers, which are used for many applications including measuring certain characteristics of the Earth’s surface. With over 300 radiometers sold worldwide, Radiometrics is also the world’s largest manufacturer of these unique remote-sensing instruments. For nearly thirty years, Radiometrics has provided their customers with radiometer systems, innovative software tools, and scientific and technical support that enable them to better measure, understand, and predict their ever-changing atmosphere. With the acquisition of RAPTOR Radar Wind Profilers and ASC Sodars in 2016, their customers use their remote sensing sytems for an astonishingly broad range of applications, from atmospheric scientists improving numerical weather models, to launch centers forecasting lightning and measuring winds aloft, to researchers monitoring global climate change, to meteorologists nowcasting severe storms, to utility companies forecasting electrical power requirements, earth resource measurements (e.g., ice and snow), earth satellite sensor validation and calibration, and more.
