Provident Financial Romania is a non-banking financial institution listed in the General Register of the National Bank of Romania and is part of the British group International Personal Finance (IPF), a leading international provider of consumer credit in Central and Eastern Europe and Mexico. A FTSE 250 business, IPF was listed on the London Stock Exchange in July 2007 and took a secondary listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in March 2013. We provide small, unsecured, short-term loans to over 300,000 customers who are under-served by existing financial institutions. Typically, our customers borrow 1,500 RON and repay their loans over 12 months with small weekly repayments that their household budgets can comfortably manage. One of our agents meets their customers before each loan is granted and visits those who select the additional home service every week to collect repayments. We promote inclusive and responsible lending and believe that meeting our corporate and social responsibilities is essential to maintaining a sustainable business and delivering for our customers. Over the past years we have supported various social responsibility programmers – in fields such as financial education, environment and supporting underprivileged groups – in which we invested over €700,000. Since 2013, we have been supporting Siguranta Financiara, a comprehensive online resource center for financial and entrepreneurship education.
