At Oakland University (OU) in Rochester, Michigan, you will find diverse academics, research opportunities, a technologically updated learning environment and cultural arts activities. Oakland has six bachelor’s granting colleges, which include: *Arts and Sciences *Business Administration *Education and Human Services *Engineering and Computer Science OU also has graduate schools, including a school of law, and offers online and continuing education classes. OU’s classes are highly advanced technologically, with nteractive and multimedia learning formats being a regular part of the OU educational experience. Research, which is also a part of OU academics in such fields as Biomedical Research and Education, also employs some of the most advanced technologies. The college life at OU is rich with cultural activities including a music festival, a theatre company, an art gallery and music and dance ensembles. There is also a student newspaper and radio station. Those seeking admission to OU may fill out an application online. ACT’s are preferred but the school will also accept SAT’s. A high school diploma or GED is required and transcripts from all schools attended must be submitted along with the application. Since OU has a rolling admissions policy, students are usually notified within a couple of weeks of submitting their application. All students who apply for admission are automatically considered for OSU scholarships. In addition, students may apply for federal aid, which includes loans and grants for those who qualify.
