Metallon Corporation Limited is a leading gold producer, developer and explorer in southern Africa. Metallon is focused on low cost, high grade mining operations and increasing gold production over the next few years. Metallon Corporation is the 100% owner of four gold mining companies in Zimbabwe. Gold production was 94,212 ounces in 2016 and the target is 115,000 ounces in 2017. Across the Group Metallon has a significant resource base with a JORC-compliant 8.3 million ounce resource, and is targeting an additional 4 - 6 million ounces through exploration (SRK 2014). With such substantial resources, Metallon is focused on increasing gold production significantly by improving current mining operations, ramping up mining at Redwing Mine, the construction of an additional processing plant at Mazowe Mine and further on-mine expansion at each mine. Metallon is focused on the reduction of costs across the whole its supply chain. Metallon is also pursuing a focused expansion strategy throughout Africa. The Company is in the process of securing prospective brownfield assets and mineral rights within the Lake Victoria gold fields region in Tanzania and is interested in exploration properties in the Maniema province near Bukavu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
