A multitude of museums, parks, restaurants and shops are easily reachable with a 20-minute drive. If you don’t have a vehicle, don’t worry; you don’t need to leave the campus for excitement. The university maintains a packed schedule of events throughout the year, like barbecues, fairs, casino nights, talent shows and live performances. If academics are your priority, you’ll be sure to have opportunities to complement classroom instruction through an active student government and more than 50 student clubs with varying interests. The university offers more than 50 academic programs in an array of today’s high-demand liberal arts disciplines, including Accounting Information Systems, Psychology and pre-professional programs in Law, Dentistry, Medicine and Optometry. To enable students to take advantage of a private education, the university provides merit and need-based financial aid programs to eligible students who have filed a FAFSA by the March 1 deadline. Types of aid include federal grants, loans, scholarships and work-study programs. To be considered eligible for enrollment, applicants must have maintained a 2.5 high school GPA, earned a high school diploma or GED, scored at least 20 on the ACT and 950 on the SAT and submitted a counselor recommendation form.
