M86 Security was a leading provider of content security solutions, including secure web gateways, web security and web filtering, as well as secure email gateways. The company was acquired by Trustwave Holdings, Inc. in 2012. M86 Security was formerly known as Marshal8e6 and changed its name to M86 Security. in 2009. The company was founded in 1995 and was based in Orange, California with satellite offices in the United States, Taiwan, and China; and development centers in California, Israel, and New Zealand.
