Lexington Theological Seminary

The Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, Kentucky, offers aspiring ministers a personalized educational experience that can be completed in the comfort of their own home, through academics that are directly linked to their congregation. The seminary is affiliated with the Disciples of Christ of the Christian Church. As an ecumenical institution, it welcomes all denominations of the Christian faith. The seminary’s goal is not only to teach scripture and theology, but also to prepare you to glean the philosophical concepts behind the verses so that you can utilize that knowledge in your personal and professional pursuits. Each student is paired with a pastor, who acts as a mentor during their education. Pastor mentors are also part of a covenant group, to which all students belong, which gives students extracurricular opportunities to gain pastoral experience. To take your ministerial education to a higher level, you can apply by submitting letters of recommendation, a personal essay, official postsecondary transcripts and a copy of your bachelor’s degree.
