Lake Superior State University

Listed as one of the nation’s most “military-friendly” schools, Lake Superior State University (LSSU) in Saulte Ste. Marie, Michigan offers tuition assistance and resources for active military and veterans as well as comprehensive academics for students from all backgrounds. Situated alongside Lake Superior, LSSU offers academic programs at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in Business, the Natural Sciences, Criminal Justice, Education, Engineering, Fisheries and Wildlife Management and Nursing. Liberal Arts programs include Creative Writing, Literature, History, Social Studies and Sociology. For its military students, LSSU provides academic and other support services to help with the transition into school and the pressures that go with that commitment. Student life at Lake Superior offers opportunities to socialize, participate in campus media, get involved in student government or join an academic or professional club. When evaluating candidates, the admissions department takes into account the rigor of high school classes and a student’s grades and SAT or ACT scores. Students are also encouraged to visit the campus. Financial aid is available to qualifying students.
