Hands-on, experiential learning, grants for undergraduate research and unique approaches to traditional programs are some examples of what’s available to students at Keuka College. Located alongside the Finger Lakes in Keuka Lake, New York, Keuka College awards bachelor’s in such subjects as: *Criminal Justice *Environmental Science *English *Nursing *Occupational Therapy *Psychology *Social Work Each academic program at Keuka employs its own unique approach. The Education department, for example, instructs all students in Special Education methodologies, even those seeking certification in elementary education or high school math or science. Other unique opportunities available at Keuka include the experiential learning activities, which give students in most majors the chance to engage in internships, cutting-edge research and other hands-on activities related to their field of study. Going one step further, Keuka awards grants to undergraduates undertaking research or other academic projects. Other forms of financial aid are generously awarded as well to those who qualify. In addition to grants, there are loans and institutional scholarships. Keuka also supplies lists of organizations and agencies that offer private scholarships. While grades are certainly important, the admissions department is also concerned with finding students who have a strong record of extracurricular activities and/or community service. In fact, they consider outside interests and accomplishments to be just as important as academic performance. Keuka does not require SAT or ACT scores, though students may certainly submit them if they’d like.
