Hocking College

The Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, is a high-quality two-year college that offers flexible and relevant educational programs along with a supportive faculty and valuable campus resources. The school offers students numerous historic, natural, artistic and cultural opportunities outside of the classroom like the Stuart’s Opera House, Robbins Crossing Historical Village and the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway. On campus, student life is both active and exciting. The Student Center is the recreational hub of the campus, which offers a number of physical fitness activities like aerobics, aquatics and simulated ice climb wall. Students interested in making friends or expanding their interests may join one of the many student clubs and organizations including the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Academics include more than 50 associate’s degrees in a broad range of disciplines, including arts and sciences, business, computer and information technologies, engineering and technology and hospitality. Certificate programs are also available in Dietary Management, Massage Therapy, Timber Harvesting and Tree Care and more. Admissions are open to any high school graduate or student who has earned a GED. Applications are available on the Hocking website. Tuition is set lower for Ohio residents. Financial aid is available to eligible students who have filed a FAFSA through the form of scholarships, federal grants, loans and student employment options.
