By promoting health equity and ensuring coverage and access, the HCFA promotes health justice in Massachusetts. In Massachusetts, the Health Care Foundation envisions a day when everyone has access to the equity, affordability, and comprehensive care they need to live a healthy life. The Consumer Assistance HelpLine program, administered by HCFA, helps families and individuals statewide, as well as informs its coalition work and policy efforts in order to develop solutions for removing health care access barriers at a systemic level. Residents of the Commonwealth call the Helpline on average 20,000 times per year seeking assistance with health coverage issues or enrolling in coverage.
