GWR is a progressive company founded by Dr. Mark Johnson and specializes in humane and respectful capture and handling of wild and feral animals. Dr. Johnson is dedicated to teaching and advising wildlife and animal welfare professionals of all kinds and to bringing care, honor, and respect to animals whether they are free-ranging, captive, or feral animals. GWR's work and instruction is based on the most practical and effective field-oriented methods and equipment and explores conscious ways of working with the animals. In effect, we study not only ways of doing but also ways of being as we handle animals. With this conscious approach we observe our selves, choose how we respond to the excitement of capture and handling, and strive to learn from each animal so we can become a better person with each experience.
