Gallaudet University is the world leader in liberal education and career development for deaf and hard-of-hearing undergraduate students. Gallaudet often works out arrangements with the local community members and organizations to use University facilities. In 2003 Gallaudet established the Gallaudet Connection that allows residents of the Near Northeast area to register and use the University's outside sport facilities.
