Erskine College

Erskine College and Seminary is a four-year Christian liberal arts college located in Due West, South Carolina. Erskine was the first four-year, church-related college in South Carolina and was an academy for men from 1835 until 1894, when the first women were admitted. The application for admissions to Erskine is free and the process is completely online. Once students complete their online application, they will need to submit their official high school and college transcript, along with their SAT/ACT scores. Once admitted, students need to submit an enrollment deposit in order to reserve their place in the incoming class, as total enrollment is capped at 600 students. With eligible students often receiving some form of financial aid through federal, state or institutional sources, tuition can be quite affordable. Erskine offers more than 20 degree programs, which students can customize to fit their personal interests. Additionally, Erskine offers a J-Term, a month-long term in January, in order to allow students to experience independent study, externships or travel. Furthermore, Erskine offers semester-long study abroad opportunities to Scotland, England, France or Mexico. Erskine has a rich student life with more than 40 student organizations for students to choose from, including religious, service and interest related groups.
