Dominican’s academics are primarily career-oriented and include degrees for traditional students and for adults. Undergraduate majors include: * Business Administration * Computer Information Systems * Criminal Justice * Humanities * Social Sciences * Nursing * Occupational Therapy * Religion * Social Work * Teacher Education Dominican offers several options for adult learners, as well, which include an accelerated degree program and a weekend college. Adult bachelor’s degrees include such majors as: * Business * Education * English * Nursing * Social Science The adult division also offers a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Dominican’s classes and student body are small, making the Dominican community a close-knit one. Students may also enhance social connections by participating in Dominican’s college life activities, which include: * Campus ministry * Clubs and organizations * A student radio station Since the school is only 17 miles from New York City, students also have easy access to one of the country’s liveliest metropolitan areas. Admissions requirements vary for each program. Traditional freshmen will need to submit an online admissions application, transcripts and ACT or SAT scores. Dominican College offers different scholarships including scholarships for freshmen, transfer students, nursing students and legally blind students. Dominican financial aid also includes need-based grants, loans, work-study and tuition assistance through New York State’s TAP program.
