Carroll Community College offers academic and professional degrees, career training, and comprehensive services and programs to support students in their transition to college and throughout the course of their studies. Degrees and certificates at Carroll Community are awarded in a host of subject areas including fields like Dental Hygiene, Nursing and Radiography, Business, Education, and Fine and Performing Arts. To support students of all ages and backgrounds, Carroll has created the special Gifted and Talented program for exceptional students who have completed 7th grade and wish to begin college and an early high school program. All first time freshmen may also participate in Carroll’s First Year Success program, which helps students to transition into college, develop study skills and take advantage of college life activities. All students may also benefit from Carroll’s student services, such as career services, disability support, learning resources (such as tutoring), and personal counseling. Students seeking entry to Carroll will need to fill out an application, interview with a school counselor, submit transcripts and, unless they have SAT or ACT scores, will also need to take a Math and English placement exam. All newly enrolled students will also need to attend an advising session. Admission is on a rolling basis, so students may apply at any time throughout the year. Those who cannot afford tuition costs may apply for federal financial aid by filling out a FAFSA. Federal aid includes loans and grants. Students may also apply for institutional or state scholarships. Tuition payment plans are available as well.
