Blindfold

The idea for Blindfold first surfaced in 2011 when Blindfold’s CEO found herself single, but unwilling to use dating apps to meet men. Being in finance, she was reluctant to be seen by clients and co-workers on these apps. Moreover, some friends of hers had been taking screenshots of people they knew on dating sites and sending them around -- it was totally embarrassing! This further strengthened her resolve not to go online. She decided to start interviewing people on why they weren’t on dating apps – she knew she couldn’t be the only one who felt this way about online dating. Not surprisingly, most people in Asia identified with her reluctance to date online. Over the next 3 years, she went on to interview more than 500 single people. She dedicated her time to finding out what problems single people were facing, and how she could create something that could help them overcome these problems. Four years later, through months of hard work and countless late nights, Blindfold was born. They hope you enjoy what they have built, as much as they have enjoyed building it.
