Austin Peay’s academics are comprised of the colleges of Arts and Letters, Behaviorial and Health Sciences, Nursing, Education and Business, among others. Both bachelor’s and master’s degrees are awarded in more than 56 majors. One of the distinguishing features of Austin Peay is its centers for excellence. The center for excellence in creative arts, for example, hosts world-class dance, theatre and music performers as well as literary readings, lectures and art exhibits. The center for excellence in biology is responsible for conducting research in such disparate areas as toxicology, herpetology and biology of endangered species.
