American Hospital Association

American Hospital Association is the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, healthcare networks, and their patients and communities. It provides education for healthcare leaders and is a source of information for health care issues and trends. Nearly 5,000 hospitals, healthcare systems, networks, other providers of care, and 43,000 individual members come together to form the American Hospital Association. Through its representations and advocacy activities, the organization ensures that its members' perspectives and needs are heard and addressed in national health policy development, legislative and regulatory debates, and judicial matters. Its advocacy efforts include the legislative and executive branches as well as legislative and regulatory arenas. American Hospital Association was founded in 1898 and is based in Chicago, Illinois.
