Goldfarb School Of Nursing At Barnes Jewish College

The Goldfarb School of Nursing is a division of Barnes-Jewish College, located in Saint Louis, Missouri. Students attending Goldfarb are able to take advantage of the excellent academic programs and research opportunities available to them through Barnes-Jewish. Goldfarb offers four academic degrees, both undergraduate and graduate, in Nursing: a bachelor’s in Nursing, a master’s in Nursing, a doctor of Nursing Practice, or doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. All students, regardless of their program of study, are required to have hands-on experience from the Clinical Simulation Institute on campus. This institute provides a safe means of practicing nursing techniques, especially for surgical nursing experience. The institute has more than 30 patient simulators, several exam rooms, operating rooms, a pediatric lab, and much more. Research is an important aspect to the educational experience of nursing students. Goldfarb requires all students to either participate in studies under the supervision of faculty, or to conduct their own research. Student life at Goldfarb is connected to the greater campus life at Barnes-Jewish College. Students have access to all student organizations, campus events, and support services available at Barnes-Jewish. Students are encouraged to use the career center to prepare for the job market upon graduation.
