My responsibilities during my internship at the HEBE Foundation extended to the Budget of the Junior Apprentice Project. I mainly reviewed and reconciled the budget. I had to analyse past reports to identify key expenses and forecast them for all sites partaking in the project. I assisted in other areas such as creating order forms for the activities run during the project and reaching out to vendors for equipment. Lastly, I was involved in finalizing expense reports.

During my training at Virtusa, I got to work with an invoicing system to input daily transactions and review the output. I learnt about their operating model and how it changes depending on the region. I analyzed and presented information about topics such as the VAT implementation in the UAE. I was given a chance to observe the preparation of the financial statements for internal reporting purposes.
