The Guide Dog Mobility Instructor is responsible for training dogs to be qualified guide dogs and instructing persons who are legally blind to travel effectively with those dogs. The GDMI is expected to provide basic instruction in the use of alternative mobility aids and technology to enhance the Leader Dog client’s travel skills and mobility.

An ABAT is an independent consultative clinician that provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with autism. They are assigned a caseload of 15-20 children receiving a mixture of therapy during 3 month service rounds. - Behavioral Services Support (BSS), upon referral an ABAT gives a maximum of three consultative sessions, based on the behavioral need(s) of the child. These consultations could occur across different settings (i.e. in-office, in-home, over the phone, out in the community, or during a joint appointment with another clinician(s), etc.). - An ABA group leader is the primary clinician for groups containing anywhere from 2-8 children, some groups require caregiver coaching. The group leader is responsible for the lesson plans, data collection, materials and classroom set-up/ take-downs. An Instructor Therapist provides IBI therapy to children diagnosed with autism. Working on an interdisciplinary team that delivers 1:1 therapy to a caseload of 5-8 children during a 2-4 year service round. - A classroom prompter prompts children within a classroom setting, they ensure that all individualized data is taken throughout the lesson.

An Instructor Therapist provides Intensive Behavioral Intervention (IBI) to children diagnosed with autism. Working on an interdisciplinary team that delivers 1:1 therapy to a caseload of 6-10 children during a 2-4 year service round. - A Catalyst champion trains coworkers on the use of both the Catalyst portal website and its corresponding iPad application. They follow up any questions or concerns from coworkers while communicating with Catalyst live support staff to enhance its systems, settings, and capabilities to better suit the needs of the company. - A scheduler ensures all clients and groups have the appropriate number of staff, that all staff members have entitled breaks within their schedule, and adjust the work schedule in accordance to vacation bookings/absences. The Apprentice Guide Dog Mobility Instructor is responsible for training dogs to be qualified Leader Dog guides and instructing qualified persons who are legally blind to travel effectively with those dogs. The Apprentice GDMI is expected to provide basic instruction in the use of alternative mobility aids and technology to enhance the Leader Dog client’s travel skills and mobility. The Apprentice GDMIs complete a three level training program to become certified dog guide instructors. An Apprentice GDMI may perform all guide dog related duties on a limited basis, under supervision, for a period of time until it is determined that all skills can be completed independently and successfully Show less
