Supervised teenaged volunteers who assisted during special events as part of substance abuse rehabilitative program -Patiently talked with one defiant substance abuse program volunteer in order to find out why he did not want to work and, after helping him with his underlying problem, returned him to his duties -Recruited, scheduled and coordinated volunteers for daily horseback riding lessons and farm chores as well as special events -Trained and supervised volunteers from a variety of backgrounds and ages ranging from 14 to 22 years -Assisted instructors during riding lessons -Provided updates during weekly staff meetings

Planned and implemented daily summer school Physical Education classes for 100 urban junior high and high school students with disabilities -Researched and utilized game alternatives and activity modifications in order to ensure inclusion of all students -Maintained proper use and care of both park district and school physical education equipment -Coordinated Physical Education program by maintaining communication with school administration and park district staff

Developed and implemented daily summer camp recreation programs related to weekly themes -Assisted participants aged 3 to 21 with disabilities including Depression, Autism, Anxiety, and mobility impairments -Remained calm in a fast-paced environment with multiple activities occurring simultaneously -Produced solutions individually and as part of a team in order to create more efficient daily operations -Acted as role model for staff and participants -Communicated with staff, participants and parents on a regular basis to ensure safe and enjoyable programming
