Develop NDIS Core Supports program

* Work with and engage young people aged 10-16 years old on the autism spectrum and/or with and intellectual disability experiencing, or at risk of suspension or expulsion, and their families. * Explore and provide better links between behaviour at school and at home. * Conduct various meetings and case conferences for each case to create an individualised and tailored case plan. * Deliver a social skills program to various schools. * Conduct classroom observations

* Work with young people (12-18yrs) and their families that are homeless or at risk of homelessness * Address any relationship concerns within a family. * Work with range of culturally diverse families including Lebanese, Asian, Aboriginal, Pacific Islander, Italian, and Anglo-Australian. * Support and casework of young people in foster care. * Support and supervision of foster carers. * Case reviews, planning, and conferencing.

* Support males with an intellectual disability aged between 18-55 years old that have recently been released from incarceration or will be released soon. * Assist participants with Housing support, Court Support, Living skills Community access. * Outcome focused task planning. * Progress notes, statistic collection.

* Assist individuals with disability apply their human rights and disability service standards though advocacy and referral * Advocate to government and non-government agencies for individuals with disability * Confront injustice and negotiate terms better suited to a person with a disability * Support individuals with a disability access appropriate services, assistance, and benefits. This includes advocacy to the NDIA, AAT, Centrelink, FaCS Housing and Justice.

* Manage a caseload of complaints regarding the neglect and abuse of NDIS participants, and the provision of supports and services delivered by NDIS providers * Support and advocate for the rights of NDIS participants * Develop productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, to inform and educate NDIS participants, NDIS providers, and the broader public around the NDIS Commission’s complaint handling functions * Inform NDIS providers of their legal responsibilities and obligations * When necessary, I undertake educative roles and offer NDIS providers education and training in relation to their internal complaints handling mechanisms, policies, and procedures

* Manage a team of Support Coordinators delivering Coordination of Support through NDIS Plans. * Manage and roster a team of Support Workers delivering core supports to participants with NDIS Plans. * Services upselling and building organisational profile in business region * Monitor staff outputs and billable hours and interpret data to create action plans * Achieve monthly turnover targets * Monthly formal supervision of staff * Conduct performance appraisals and reviews * Draft and deliver service agreements * Supervise and mentor Social Work student placements * Recruitment and interviewing * Person Centred Planning

* Manage a team of Team Leaders supervising staff delivering Coordination of Support, Core Supports and Supported Independent Living. * Budget oversight and reporting * Contribution to Operational Planning * Lead team through Third Part Verification process

* Reporting the the CEO, the role entails the following: * Manage a team of advocates covering South-West and South-East Sydney, Southern Highlands, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, and Southern NSW * Conduct supervision and performance appraisals * Recruitment and interviewing * Develop and implement a policy and practice guide suite for the advocacy program * Client intake, assessment, and allocation * Community and customer engagement * Strategic planning and program development
