Experience has proven that long-term commitment to the reading audience as the top priority--as a staff employee--is the best way to benefit the customers, the company, and the writers. As a technical writer, I have two categories of attributes--that of a writer and that of a team member. My writing, most of which has been in the area of network security, data communications, or telecommunications, is clear, logical, and strongly motivated by a wish to educate the users on my employer's products. Providing quality work for the customers' benefit is my prime objective. I still believe that "a job worth doing is worth doing right." This is also true of the daily experience of a shared work space. As a team member, I fuse my hopeful (if challenged) view of humanity with my work life: Life is too short to squander it on political feuding. Every day I strive to add to peoples' quality of life.
