Tavua, Western, Fiji

Specific responsibilities include:- To operate, monitor, maintain and repair utility systems and equipment such as power generation equipment’s (1.8MW caterpillar generators and 3.2MW marinsa generator), high pressure 40 bar compressors, low pressure 7 bar compressors, micro turbines, chillers, air handling units(AHU) and other electrical systems;-Preparing the preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance plans in the MEX software and also completing the weekly work orders arising for the utilities equipment’s;- Planning and implementing tasks in the MEX software to prevent downtime's;- Monitoring of major and minor work orders through the MEX software;-System monitoring of Air handling units(AHU) using the self-monitoring software;-Accordingly, system monitoring using the different software to control and monitor for husky machines, 3-phase generators, 11KV generator, Micro-turbines, production line’s, low-pressure 7-bar compressors, high-pressure 40-bar compressors, Trane chiller systems and 3-phase pumps.- Controlling load of power generation equipment’s as per the load demand;- Troubleshooting of any equipment failures and taking the correct responds;- Calculating and maintaining the efficiency of the power generation and the production lines to have zero hours of downtime;- Maintenance of machines, namely corrective, preventive, risk-based and condition-based maintenance;- Assist in the maintenance and repair of motors and pumps and report equipment defects or failures;- Perform scheduled plant inspections and record observations in the facility logbook;-Respond and complete work orders; maintain daily shift production logs;- Monitor equipment and take readings at designated intervals; track status of the system and prepare reports that account for equipment performance; and- Adhere to safety programs to promote a safe environment and to minimize safety hazards/injuries.
