I am helping this award-winning, nonprofit architecture practice refresh our strategy and amplify our social impact — addressing the intersections of poverty, climate, and racism that have been built into our neighborhoods. Completed a year of teaching, research and coursework on the intersection of social and environmental justice and the built environment. Selected as one of ten mid-career professionals from around the world given access to the resources of Harvard and MIT to amplify their professional impact.

Political campaign work: Traveled weekly as a member of the National Advance Team, organizing political events and rallies for President Obama's re-election campaign.

Social enterprise development and advisory: Co-designed the Global Innovation Academy, a start-up venture to skill policymakers and practitioners in the tools and methods for social innovation. Designed international learning programs and developed business model, brand and web strategies.

HIV/AIDS policy research: Interviewed government officials, public health practitioners, academics, and community members on Mexican HIV/AIDS prevention policy, particularly in urban and peri-urban indigenous communities. Robin Hood is New York's largest poverty-fighting organization, and since 1988 has focused on finding, funding, and creating programs and schools that generate meaningful results for families in New York's poorest neighborhoods. Since its founding, Robin Hood has raised more than $1.95 billion in dollars, goods and services to provide hundreds of the most effective soup kitchens, homeless shelters, schools, job-training programs and other vital services that give New York's neediest citizens the tools they need to build better lives. In addition, Robin Hood's board of directors pays all administrative, fundraising and evaluation costs, so 100% of your donation goes directly to organizations helping New Yorkers in need.

Municipal debt structuring and analysis: Structured more than $5 billion in municipal bonds, helping city and state governments fund public works amid a severe economic downturn. Designed debt restructuring proposals for budget relief, tracked variable-rate and derivatives market risks, and supported rating agency and investor outreach efforts for clients including the City of New York.

Social innovation policy: Supported federal policymaking around new financial instruments, including social impact bonds, which bring private capital to nonprofit organizations and social enterprises. Programmed five White House forums on philanthropic, urban, enterprise, and civic innovations driving economic renewal.
