I am a frontend developer with international experience in web development as well as UX and project management. Over the years I have worked with a variety of form factors, all with different possibilities and limitations to consider, but my starting point has always been to find simple solutions to complex problems. To solve these problems I frequently use prototypes and proof of concepts, as I find them to be the best way to capture user requirements and to ensure the solution will fulfill the business needs. I'm a bit if a technology buff, with a particular interest in web development and web technologies, and I stay up to date with the latest in web development and usability findings. Long term strategy and how to use new technologies is another topic close to my heart.

    I was also working on a prototype for migrating the current site into a server side rendered site with hydration based on React. The CMS allows the editor to place any component at virtually any place and in any order. This brought a lot of challenges that needed solutions. In the end, it required us to recursively generate a component tree based on the data models, serialize the models for the necessary hydration data in the cases where the component needed it. Since the pages were fully server side rendered, only the behavior was hydrated so the content was not needed twice. The server was built using Node and its standard libraries.

    Worked on a complete redesign of all the websites. This included working closely with an agency to make sure the requirements from our end was met and at the same time fulfill the agency’s vision for the website. A strong focus was accessibility of the website which I pushed hard for. The outcome was a style guide which made the implementation easy and also worked as documentation of the design. The resulting CSS library could be fully reused, and it was easy to integrate into the new websites. During my time I also worked on creating internal applications that would integrate with the CMS in order to make life easier for the users of the system. The applications were mainly done in React or Vanilla JavaScript.

    During the implementation of a new content management system based on SDL Tridion my main responsibilities was to lead the front end development and act as scrum master. Since the code had to be shared between multiple projects it was designed around a modular system using RequireJS. The work also included a new integration pattern where the site has a number of externally hosted applications that needed to be embedded on the site. To solve this we developed a new integration pattern which allows the applications to safely be embedded on the site while still being hosted externally. It also allows content to be controlled by the CMS and presented in the applications.
