I was determined to fulfill the LLS mission in supporting patients and families, advocating for better access to treatments, making fundraising efforts both fun and effective. As an intern and volunteer compassion and kindness set the standards. As a community outreach volunteer/ intern, I was required to go out into the community mainly - hospitals, community centers, senior homes, and pediatric offices to tell practitioners of the tools and resources LLS provides for newly diagnosed cancer patients.

As a caregiver of two, it was required of me to provide the children with my undivided attention in maintaining a smooth and efficient running of the home. I was required to transport the children to school, prepare their morning and evening meals, and help them with their homework.

Duties included, but were not limited to greeting families upon entering the facility, handling member requests promptly, building a good rapport, switchboard, managing project e-mails, maintain memberships while, calling and confirming appointments.

At the Watermark it was required of me to prioritize mandated dietary restrictions; ensuring proper safety protocols. I also received notable/ positive recognition through resident reviews.

As a customer service agent at Walmart, I was appointed many times to investigate customer records - issue money orders and maintain accurate processing. I was the first person to whom customers met therefore, I had to greet customers and demonstrate solid, interpersonal skills in person and over a multi-line phone system. At the front desk, I had to screen and refer calls to appropriate personnel.

As a camp counselor, it was crucial of me to consult with parents or school personnel. I was required to coordinate social service activities and counsel individuals whenever they were dealing with personal problems. I was also required to maintain educational records, reports, and files. As camp counselor, I had to maintain a safe and efficient environment for the youth.

At FootAction, I was expected to build a loyal customer base by using a consultative approach - incorporating five selling behaviors: product knowledge, attentive listening, patience, respect, and creativity. I was authorized to open and close vaults which balanced up to $20,000 in daily transactions. I was required to monitor the sales floor and allowing access to fitting rooms while, explaining store policies. Here, at FootAction I consistently exceeded sales per hour by as much as 30%.

Duties include, but are not limited to ensuring medical, psychological, dental, dietary, and treatments which are followed through Individual Plan of service. It is required of me to provide assessment, training, and counseling in areas of sensory/ motor skills, socialization, etc. I am asked to perform one-to-one supervision of designated consumer(s). I was also the first student employed in program.

* Duties include, but are not limited to: * One-to-one counseling for individuals with neurological impairments. * Create and implement a wide range of community inclusion programs, coordinating and facilitating services for assigned consumers: which may include * physical assessment, independent living skills, job placement and coaching, etc. * Implement independent living skills as followed: budgeting, grooming, food prep, purchasing items of basic need. * Provide vocational training and career counseling to prepare individuals for supported employment and/or competitive employment by acquainting consumers with satisfactory work habits, rules, and job skills. * ILST and RA certified.
