The SJ Mercury News was the first newspaper to publish on the Internet. This heritage and unique "Silicon Valley" location led to a high volume dynamic deadline-focused web site. Designed and built process and infrastructure to deliver worlds first HTML-email newspaper publication: “Good Morning Silicon Valley!” for 35K+ subscribers. Developer and tech lead responsible for product design, technology selection, and programming. Re-designed the interactive cisco.com public career web site and created an internal career job portal during Cisco’s first “reduction in force” (i.e. layoff). Designed and helped build a next-generation web-based people directory with 150,000+ profiles which served 1+ million searches and detail views daily since 2006. Deployed a Confluence wiki server that grew from 30 to over 80,000 users and resulted in over 1.2 million pages of information created and shared. * Symmetricom was a medium sized business that built network synchronization devices based on atomic clocks. * Consolidated isolated department websites into a cohesive Intranet for increased cross-company collaboration. * Developed internal applications for QC with integration to the partner extranet. * Assisted in purchase and setup of help desk system and enterprise VPN, resulting in more efficient IT support and cost reduction for remote connectivity.

PathTech was a small regional consulting firm which more than doubled in size during my employ. My role was consulting, developing, and educating clients on then "new" Internet technologies. Created one of the first online continuing education sites for Vistakon, a Johnson & Johnson company, resulting in updating hundreds of optical professionals. Consulted with companies to help C-level employees understand "new" Internet technology, resulting in new projects and increased revenue for the firm.
