I was tasked with growing Cardno’s traffic and transport business in the South Coast region. My responsibilities included business development, recruitment and project management of larger transport infrastructure or transport planning projects. I was part of the leadership team in the South Coast business unit and maintained my role as a thought leader within Cardno’s wider Asia Pacific transport group.

I had responsibility for replacement lines & signs, traffic counts, parking surveys, highway search requests and office administrative tasks.

Tim managed a small team with responsibility for identifying, investigating and developing 1-10 year transport initiatives in the Regional and Outer Metropolitan Division of Transport for NSW, focusing on the Illawarra-Shoalhaven sub-region. Tim’s team undertook a range of transport planning, modelling and feasibility activities to improve transport outcomes for local communities. Strategic transport planning, transport modelling (using Paramics microsimulation software), intersection analysis, development related transport improvements, behaviour change/sustainable travel initiatives, urban realm projects.

My substantive role was in the Local Transport Plan coordination team with responsibility for funding bids, transport economic appraisal, policy and programme development. I also undertook a 10 month secondment in Council's Passenger Transport Group with responsibility for minor bus and rail infrastructure upgrades.

Tim sits within the Planning & Mobility team at WSP, with responsibility for winning and delivering major transport planning and feasibility studies. Tim has an explicit focus on emissions reduction which means embedding Net Zero thinking and methodologies in all projects, leveraging WSP’s global expertise in this space.

As Principal and NSW Transport Lead, Tim’s role at SLR was to manage larger traffic and transport projects and develop business opportunities in both the Transport Advisory sector and related disciplines. Tim was responsible for growing the NSW Transport Advisory team and establishing a presence in the Sydney market with both public and private sector clients. Tim specialised in managing transport-focused multi-disciplinary projects and developing long term client relationships.
