Piedmont Environmental Council has been working to protect the natural landscapes, the history, the working agricultural communities, and the natural resources of the Piedmont region of Virginia since 1972. In my role, I have worked with staff, board and other constituents to develop the 2010 strategic plan and then implement recommended changes. I serve on the Management Committee which overseas the organization. I am involved in both day-to-day decision making and strategic thinking. And I work closely with the trustees to improve the board's effectiveness.

Served on Conservation Committee and Government Relations Committee. Represented to Chapter board at national events including Leadership Summits in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

CDP is one of the pioneers in the field of environmental disclosure in the business sector. My work with them involved conducting research and providing advice to senior management on organizational structure and strategic direction.

Portfolio Manager and Analyst for Capital Research. As an analyst covered a variety of industries including Electrical Equipment, Consumer Durables, and Industrial Companies. As a fund manager managed money in several of the world's largest equity fund including EuroPacifc Growth Fund, Capital World Growth and Income Fund, New Perspective Fund, and Growth Fund of America.
