Responsible for the daily operation of the emergency department of a tertiary care hospital servicing approximately 400,000 people and 17 counties. Functions include the management of staff and resources with the goal of providing safe and efficient care for the community served.

Oversees the operation of the various departments of 640 bed facility offering full gamut of inpatient and outpatient services. Supervises nursing and non-clinical staff in conjunction with as well as in the absence of unit-based management. Performs frontline administrative duties in regard to issues involving staffing, patient care, patient flow throughout facility and hospital incident command structure.

Performed assessment, intervention, and care documentation of patients in critical care setting of tertiary care hospital. Trained in and responsible for care of individuals throughout all age ranges as well as acuity levels up to and including trauma.

Assist with stabilization and maintenance of same level or advanced level care for critically ill patients transported between hospitals.

Supervised day to day functioning of nursing and ancillary staff in accordance with goals set forth by Nurse Manager. Served as a resource to staff members in knowledge of facility operations and policies as well nursing skills.
