▪ Led institutional sales trading, both buy and sell side. Key relationships forged and maintained with all bulge brackets on the sell side and asset managers (LO’s, HF’s & SWF’s) spanning the globe, on the buy side.▪ Drove CI Capital’s multi-year foray into establishing a global buy side business spanning asset managers in North America, EMEA & SSA.▪ Launched and oversaw GCC sales trading coverage and execution, a new product which led to a marked increase in revenues within three years.▪ Built and led an eight-strong team to execute on strategic business goals and deliver key new launches.▪ Worked cross functionally to support overall business goals, aligning with sales & research to improve coverage, generate trade ideas and provide market intelligence; IB during critical transactions.▪ Implemented the centralizing of all institutional sales trading. A multi-year process in which the desk transformed from a sell side focus to encompass the entirety of all institutional business i.e. adding Western, GCC and local institutional buy side, which greatly enhanced liquidity facilitation.▪ Oversaw a two year program to overhaul the company’s critical IT infrastructure to support FIX connectivity, a trading prerequisite for all bulge brackets and a growing number of asset managers. A key challenge was maintaining sell side business and relationships during the transition. Upon implementing the new FIX-supportive OMS in April 2019, sell side business doubled within the year.▪ My desk consistently ranked amongst the top two foreign trading desks for the entire duration of my tenure.

▪ Helped establish Naeem Holding’s foreign institutional sales trading desk working closely with Head of Equities Sadiq Razak, formerly MD EMEA Trading at ING Bank.▪ Successfully set up institutional relationships and procured business from sell side clients. During my tenure, Naeem’s ranking rose in its key markets as it transformed from being an exclusively retail broker.▪ Executed sales trading duties across four equity markets; UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Egypt.▪ Mentored and led a five-strong team consisting of sales traders and traders previouslyworking on the retail desk.▪ As a start-up, my responsibilities included all facets pertaining to running an effective sales trading desk that was capable of catering to foreign institutional clients. Duties encompassed managing client relationships, implementing best practice execution, aiding ops with DVP settlement and creating desk literature.

Handled all trading aspects from order initiation, execution and liquidity facilitation - via bloc sourcing - to mitigate market impact.▪ Delivered market commentary including market calls, wraps and ad hoc market/stock moving news.▪ Ensured efficient trade settlement through direct and regular liaising with back office team.▪ Clients under coverage were predominantly bulge brackets.
