In my years as an educator I have had the opportunity to work in many different educational settings. I am currently Director of Student Services/Principal in Lansing Elementary District 158. In my current position I have many responsibilities including running the day to day operation of a school, hiring and retention of special education staff district wide, overseeing the special education programs of the district, facilitating the RtI program in the district, and in-servicing administration and staff on special education issues. I have also had the opportunity to work with the IDEA grants and budgets. Having taught both regular and special education, I have had the opportunity to implement several different teaching methods and behavior management styles. This experience has prepared me for sharing my knowledge of curriculum, teaching methods, and classroom management with staff. I am always open and receptive to suggestions and strategies for improvement as I continue to expand my love for education, learning, and working with children.
