Gruene Estate is a 15-acre secluded property consisting of the 1857 home of Ernst and Antoinette Gruene, a charming wedding chapel, and various lodging options that may accommodate up to 12 overnight guests and 200 event guests. Gruene Estate also offers daily, overnight, weekly rentals in other historic homes on and near the estate in Downtown New Braunfels.

Brand evangelist who shapes all that communicates vision, mission, message, and values. Brand development, social media and print collateral for church teaching series and campaigns, collaborator Creative/Worship Arts, project management, pastoral care.

Organized initial docent program to implement educational programs for adult and student groups. Shared various curatorial and collections management duties for several years. Prepared and received IMS MAP II grant request, and a Conservation Survey request. Served as writer and photographer for magazine and newsletter. Produced long-range strategic plan for the museum department designed to identify and correct deficiencies in all areas of operation, as well as serve as a practical work plan to eventually attain national accreditation through the American Association of Museums. The plan was developed in concert with an advisory committee and adopted by the governing board in November 1989. Reorganized and expanded 40,000 sqft interpretive museum as new corporate entity that relocated to Midland in 1991, achieved AAM Accreditation in 1997. Opened another 10,000 sqft in 2001, composed of Aviation Art Gallery, conservation lab, changing exhibition gallery and research library. Hosted two strategic planning retreats 1998-2002, and created new values-based decision-making model in concert with three other affiliated organizations upon which the 2003 Long Range Plan is based. Successfully completed re-accreditation process in 2005, and Smithsonian Affiliation shortly thereafter.

Late 19-century historic home restored as museum. Subject to training in dry-cleaning, solvent-cleaning, in-painting, and various consolidation techniques to restore a room with paintings on canvas stretched over all four walls and ceiling.
