Relieving in position of Director - Occupational Health and Safety Directorate while permanent appointee is on Maternity Leave.

Role description: To design, implement, maintain and monitor risk management programs across the organisation. To ensure that all insurance claims are effectively managed and processes in accordance with relevant guidelines.

* Rotated across treatment areas of orthopaedics, neurology, psychiatry, endocrinology and liver transplant. * During this time I participated in the exchange program with Vancouver General Hospital, Canada, working in Psychiatry for six months. My experience overseas broadened my awareness of professional issues in clinical settings.

Scope: Provision of services to all NSW Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) agency members for OHS&IM risk management activities. Input into the development of products and services to improve Suncorp’s presence in the public sector market in other States. Design and implementation of the first NSW Public Sector OHS&IM Conference for the TMF Designed and delivered the NSW TMF Psychological Injury Risk Management Strategy and in doing so have developed positive working relationships for Suncorp within government including WorkCover and NSW DET. This work has been used to design and inform the NSW strategy “Leading Well” launched by the Director General of NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet on 23 October 2007. Contributed to the SRS tender bid for the TMF contract, with many of the ideas designed/ identified as part of that bid now being implemented and recognised within and externally to the TMF

* Scope: Coordination and maintenance of relationships and services for key clients within the NSW Treasury Managed Fund (TMF). * agency members for OHS&IM risk management activities. * Major responsibilities: * Planning and prioritisation of relationship activities to optimize customer satisfaction and retention within the GIO TMF portfolio. * Engage with clients to identify opportunities to improve workers compensation and return to work outcomes. * Design and delivery of reports on injury management performance and opportunities for improvement for TMF clients * Liaise with key external stakeholders to identify and enhance services delivered to TMF clients.

Role description: Provision of risk management advice and identification of emerging risks and solutions for DET workers compensation. Provide risk management input into the design of OHS tools and systems. 1998 – 2000 Seconded to OHS&R Taskforce Role description: Establishment of a systematic approach for the management of workers compensation claims and occupational rehabilitation to reduce the cost impact on DET. Provide specialist training and resources to the taskforce team to ensure a consistent and “best practice” approach to managing claims and return to work.

Role description: Coordination and delivery of reporting and risk management advice for workers compensation, motor vehicle, property and public liability for the whole of NSW TAFE/ DET.

Role description: Establish risk management and insurance functions within a new organisation. Included workers compensation and rehabilitation, property (including new building works), public liability, and motor vehicle risk areas.
